Meet the Artist

Rachael Howatson is a self-taught artist based in Mill Bay, British Columbia. Growing up with a passion for drawing, Rachael spent years navigating her creative journey, often doubting her identity as a "true artist." However, she ultimately embraced her artistic calling while on maternity leave, focusing on her love for painting soft, calming landscapes in oil.

Rachael’s work captures the tranquility of nature, featuring serene pastures, moody trees, and expansive fields. Each piece is designed to evoke a sense of peace, offering viewers a gentle escape into the beauty of the natural world from the comfort of their own homes. As a mother of two, Rachael finds that her own paintings serve as an anchor, creating a calming environment that resonates with her.

Through her art, Rachael invites you to reconnect nature, fostering a deep connection to the landscapes that inspire her.
